I too am surprised by Doughty being taken over Phaneuf or Boumeester or even Green or even Marc Staal. I am also surprised Jordan Staal wasn't selected. he is one of the league's elite penalty killers and would be a solid 3rd liner.

I wasn't sure where to post this, so i threw it into here. On Friday, Team Canada announced the jersey numbers of its players. MAF will indeed wear his normal #29, but a few other players have different numbers. I guess i can get on getting my MAF Team Canada Olympics jersey done up now
