Made the trip down to Port Charlotte this morning with my 2 sons. The morning was mostly cloudy, so we took the chance anyway. The weather did cooperate as it did not rain on the west coast of Florida down south.
My oldest got interviewed for a Tampa News chanel about being at Spring Traing with the rays. Hopefully they will air his interview. The boys made out well with autographs (I can't remember who got who) Matt Moore, Carlos Pena, Ben Zobrist, James Shields, Matt Joyce, Hak-Ju Lee, Sean Rodriguez, Matt Bush and some other Minor leaguers.
The wind was blowing hard making pop-up practice an adventure for everyone. Hellickson, Cobb, Niemann and others threw live BP.
Port Charlotte is the complete opposite of Sarasota, you can get right up against the fences which makes for some great pictures. I was able to get right behind home plate to get pictures of the pitchers covering home on pass ball drills.
Enjoy the Pictures !!!
