Just want some thoughts/opinions. 14-team, head-to-head points league. I bought this team several years ago, when it was a run-down batch of past-their-primes. Have nobody left from that original roster. Been a rough several years re-building this team. I am quite happy where I am at now. Here is who I have (9 keepers, 4-man farm team) entering Sunday's draft:
1B - Freddie Freeman
1B - Paul Goldschmidt
SS - Alexei Ramirez
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Mike Stanton
SP - Clayton Kershaw
SP - Clay Buchholz
SP - Ervin Santana
RP - Jonathon Papelbon
Farm Team:
OF - Mike Trout
SP - Stephen Strasburg
SP - Mike Montgomery
SP - Keyvius Sampson
I obviously plan to bring up Strasburg right away and Trout at some point this season. Do plan to draft a couple young prospects late. Top player left unprotected is Jon Lester in my opinion. Of course, starting pitching is where I don't need any help at the moment. But if he is there when it gets to my pick, I could not pass him up. Doubt he will still be there, though. Most likely will draft a 3B or OF with my first pick, assuming Lester is gone.
