Canseco Mexican League ban Update...

Jose Canseco has evidently been banned from the Mexican League he was playing in as part of his "comeback".

According to conflicting reports he was either 1. Banned for a "banned substance" and an elevated Testerone counts OR 2. For refusing to take a test.

He denies this is the case. But in the same presser, he said that others have hinted to him that MLB is out to get him and implied that this test result was the league trying to keep him out of baseball...

Yet another atrocity in the world of baseball. First Canseco, then Braun, and now Canseco again. They're just out to destroy talent!

Maybe he can get Ozzie to pretend to be him again. That worked out well the last time. Canseco needs to just quietly go away.

Article I read says he didn't take a test.

He admitted to the league that he was taking a doctor's prescription of testosterone, because all his years
of steroid abuse have inhibited his body's ability to produce enough naturally.

They asked him to take a test, but he refused, and was subsequently banned.

I'm really hoping the next 'Celebrity Boxing' puts Canseco up against Bud Selig, I'd be willing to bet Jose definitely shows up for that one.

There is probably a lot of truth to this. I remember in the Playboy spread with his ex-wife she talked about how he didn't have testicles because of excessive synthetic testosterone use.
