Holy inscriptions! Nice stuff. Did you get those done at a signing or TTM?

I did a few @ an Alumni Autographs session, but the rest were done TTM...I typed Mr. Face a letter and asked if I could send all the cards and have him sign and inscribe them, I offered to pay whatever he asked. He wrote me back and told me to send the cards and a SASE, and he'd sign them for me free of cost.

BTW, I don't know why the Pirates cancelled Alumni Autograph Days @ PNC Park last year, they always had a decent turnout!

Talking with some of the other season ticket holders at Piratefest, it seemed like just about everyone was pissed about the cancellation of the alumni days and the lack of giveaways this year. The marketing and PR departments leave a lot to be desired.

I tried to make as many AA sessions as possible the past few seasons, and have enjoyed meeting guys like Groat, Giusti, Grant Jackson, Candelaria, Face, Frank Thomas, and many others. I especially enjoy it since I am too young to have seen any of them play, save for the Candy Man...they aren't getting any younger, that's for certain. Maybe next year...anyways I live around Columbus, but make it to 10-15 games per year, I also took a 9 day Spring Training trip to Bradenton w/ my wife last spring, and just took a 4 day mini trip there this past weekend.

"Pirates fan jump on in!" I guess I'm not considered a Pirates fan (beat my O's in '71 and '79), but I do typically root for them as an NL team. I really like your Elroy Face autograph cards and photo. Man, I didn't see him play until later in his career, but what a fork ball he had! Hey...and 18-1; can't beat that!!

Cool thread, I love showing off my Autos. I am trying for a complete 61 Topps Pirates Auto Set
My holy grail is a PSA/DNA 61 Clemente. I will start off with my one and only Clemente Auto.

Favorite Auto card of all time, I think 2 are deceased now.

I have another 7 or 8 61 Pirates in PSA/DNA holders but not scanned yet.
