Does this kid have a realistic chance to earn an OF spot for the Pirates?? What kind of player can be if he starts hitting for more power?

The Pirates have good options right now in the OF with Presley and Tabata that the team wants to see what they can do. No need to rush Marte.

Baseball America's scouting report on Marte,
"He's good enough right now to be an above average defensive center fielder in the major leagues with outstanding range and a strong arm.... He's so good defensively in centerfield that he could eventually push all star Andrew Mccutchen to left. If Marte continues to add power, he could be an all star.
Marte has always been regarded as a superb defender. A similar report was written a year ago in the 2011 book.
The thought of a Josh Bell, Starling Marte, Andrew Mccutchen offense would be incredible.
