Desmond Jennings, B.J. Upton carted off the field after major outfield collision

Breaking news from the Marlins-Rays Port Charlotte, Florida. Apparently B.J. Upton and Desmond Jennings collided in the outfield while chasing a gapper from Austin Kearns in left center field. People who saw it are saying it occurred at full speed.

Both Upton and Jennings were carted off the field. No word on their conditions yet.

We’ll update as soon as we hear something.

Upton at first appeared to be in a lot of pain but eventually got up and looked fairly OK before being carted to the trainer's room. He was diagnosed with general soreness and could miss a few days but that is the extent of it.

If you are keeping track of pitches on Gameday it is not accurate. They don't keep track of balls and strikes. Ie- all K's are recorded as 3 pitches.
