Koufax and Koufax. Whitey Ford would be second on my list. Very underrated pitcher.

Ford doesn't even belong in the conversation. And if Spahn finishes behind Koufax my head will explode

I don't think this is even a tough choice.

Spahn pitched 1100 more innnings than Johnson winning the most games by a LH-starter in the history of MLB. His career ERA was lower even with all the additional innings and pitched 382 complete games to Johnson's 100. Not to mention Spahn hit 35 career HR's as a PITCHER, and was a top-five finish in the MVP four times (as a PITCHER) for mostly bad teams except in the late 50's.

Lefty Grove...

One of the most underappreciated pitchers in baseball history. Others have more wins - Grove won his 300th game in his final start of a 17-year career - but in other areas, he was unparalleled. He led the American League in strikeouts seven consecutive years, victories four times and ERA nine times. If he had played in an era with the Cy Young Award, he would have won it as much as Roger Clemens. Grove did win the MVP award in 1931, when he went 31-4 with a 2.06 ERA and five saves to boot. He also has two World Series wins, and went 4-2 with a 1.75 ERA in the postseason in his career.

Spahn ERA 3.09 ERA+ 119 WHIP 1.195 H/9 8.3 BB/9 2.5
Koufax ERA 2.76 ERA+ 131 WHIP 1.106 H/9 6.8 BB/9 3.2
Johnson ERA 3.29 ERA+ 135 WHIP 1.171 H/9 7.3 BB/9 3.3
Ford ERA 2.75 ERA+ 133 WHIP 1.215 H/9 7.5 BB/9 3.1
How exactly does Ford not even belong in the conversation?

Because Spahn kept up the pace for about 5 more seasons to the tune of almost 130 more wins and 226 more CG. You can say he's underrated, and you're right, but to say he's the 2nd best lefty (regardless of who is or isn't 1st) is a bit of a stretch IMO
