I wonder if I send in my AFLAC Stephenson now, wish they would just authenticate and not grade. All 8's or 9's at best.
FWIW, the Magic card "Land Tax" has taken off. In official tournament play, certain cards are not allowed because they are just too powerful. Land Tax was one of these cards, but its been reevaluated by the people that make these decisions and in Wednesday's quarterly announcement it was deemed OK and legal in the landscape of today's game, setting off a huge wave of demand. This card used to be easy to pick up for under $10 for a set of 4. Prices have crept up in the last couple months in anticipation of it coming off the banned list, but up till this week it was still easily obtained for $5-8 each. As of midnight Wednesday they instantly sold out all over the web at that price and on ebay and online retailers jacked up prices to $30-50, depending on which edition and condition.
