Just curious, and only because you mentioned it, but do you feel that age should play a part in MVP voting?

In a small way. Almost no players his age won't have a season as impressive as his.

Billy Hamilton. He may not have been the best player in the Minors, but the record he set is so outrageous and unexpected in this era, that I'd vote for him.

Ruf isn't even an option? Legit question - is it b/c he wasn't on any top prospect lists? I mean the guy hit 38 HR.

If we were going strictly by numbers and absolutely no other criteria then he'd have a shot.

I thought Taveras at first, mainly based on Jaypers logic.. but Bundy is about the equivalent of that and when I have to chose between a pitcher playing well at that age and hitter playing well at the same age.. I'll go with the pitcher.

I'm assuming Anthony Rizzo won't qualify because of some # of games he's now played at the MLB level? But whatever the case with that, let's look at his MiLB season in 2012, playing in AAA at age 23: (in 70 G): 257 AB: 23 HR, 62 RBI, .342 BA, .405 OBP, .696 SLG, 1.01 OPS-- Mike Troutesque, minus the SB, no? Also, the kid is an elite defensive 1B.
I voted B.Hamilton, as others have stated, because of his breaking the MiLB stolen base record for a season, but let's be honest, which minor league player would you prefer to have on your team: Hamilton, or Rizzo?
