Your best find from a "junk" pack

"junk" pack means different things to people, but for this post, a product which has been out of print for yrs &/or has fallen in price big.

For instance, a thomas nnof from 90 topps, a halladay auto from 97bowman (pack cost u $1 compared to $3 @ release) or what happened to a customer when he got a clemente bat from a pack of 2000 ionix (cost $1, initial srp $4)

I bought a mixed pack box from an ALCO just because I had $20. It had a pack of UD Future Stars in it, and I pulled a Dallas Braden auto.

Nothing huge, but that's really all I have.

Target always has packs for $1.59, different years, sports. I've pulled a Freddy galvis sotf, Jaime Garcia sotf, and jersey cards from bowman packs. Also pulled a blue ref of magic Johnson and gold ref of monte Ellis from 08/09 bowman basketball.

in 1997 i think it was i bought a box of classic collect a card ($10 maybe?) basketball from 1995 i believe. whichever year was garnetts rc. anyway i hit a redemption for a 24k gold garnett rc. the odds were like 1:3000 packs or something like that. i was so happy it wasnt expired. i ended up getting the card and sold it for around $150 i think.

Pulled a Grant Hill Autographics from a fifty cent pack when I was 14. That was the second Grant Hill Autographics I pulled! Card was around $250 at the time.

Saw two 2001 bowman packs for 1.59 at target a while back and bought both. I had planned to sell them as at the time they were selling for about 10 bucks at the time. Decided to bust and ended pulling a Pujols which graded 9.5 rookie

Pulled a Jack Nicklaus Auto /19 from 2001 UD Golf. Bought the box for $10 just to get a Tiger RC!

Oh, I also pulled a Sidney Crosby gold parallel from 08/09 Victory. I think I paid $.25 for that pack (for some reason, wal-mart had a ton marked down to that price).

I remember it booked $30 at the time. Not worth much now though.

Nice! I still pick up a box of 2001 UD Golf every once in a while for a shot at a Tiger auto. For the price you can't beat it!

I sold one of those Crosby Gold Parallel for 12 dollars out of a Wal Mart pack I think. I sold it to my friend bryan. I really like that product. Even though I no longer collect hockey. I only did for 1 year.

1992 Classic Best - Nolan Ryan auto. Pulled it back around 2004 after finding 4 packs in a sock drawer.

My wife got me a box of 2008 series 1 Topps for like $40 from Shopko (hobby product). She wanted to get me something after getting my wisdom teeth out.

I ended up pulling a Pujols GU/auto /25 from it. I think I got $150 or so for it.

About 6 months ago I found two packs of 2009 Bowman Draft for $1.59 a pack at Target and you guessed it, I pulled a Trout base auto.

Sold it about 2.5 months ago for $300.

Back in 2005, I bought a collection of wax boxes of opened packs where the guy cut open the packs and put the cards back in the packs....
720 boxes of various sports & years....every box cost me 25¢... I went through a box of 1999 Century Legends Football box..
I got a Walter Peyton Autograph #/34 out of the box...
Card booked for $1000 and it sold for $702 on ebay a week later!
