So whats the "official" story on 2008 heritage chrome hairston?

Its been 4 yrs, does anyone know why its so hard to find & pricey?

A ref sold for $5 but I think base sells for hundreds.

For some reason Its not allowing me to post a pic here.

The base was extremely short-printed. I don't know how many exist, but I would guess less than 200.

If I'm not mistaken, the 200 or so that made it into the market were the first 200 serially numbered ones. I don't recall seeing any numbers above 200/1959.

Nobody knows why they're so scarce. As a 2008 Topps Heritage Chrome Jerry Hairston card, I can verify that all the info given above is correct.

Maybe the original printing plate broke and they didn't bother to fix it.
Or maybe Topps made it scarce on purpose to get people to buy more packs.
It wouldn't be the first time Topps pulled those shenanigans.

Off topic, but are there any other sites like the above one that document unreleased/withdrawn/backdoored cards? That site has some great info, found some cool new stuff I want to track down.
