Was in 5 World Series - 1985, 1987, 1991, 1992, and 1996 and lost all 5 times.

The year the Braves won in 1995 - he was a Florida Marlin. The year the Marlins won - he was a Red.

Anybody else been to the World Series at least 5 times and never won?

And not just losses - painful, painful losses. '85 was Denkinger. '87 they lost to one of the worst teams to ever make the playoffs up to that time. '91 was just brutal and Lonnie Smith's baserunning gaffe - on a ball hit by TP of all people - cost them the series. '92 was probably the least painful but still had the Ed Sprague game that turned the series around. And '96 they won the first two on the road and promptly lost 4 in a row lowlighted by the Leyrtiz game (the most miserable sporting event I've ever attended).
