I do it all the time and I'm sure many of you do as well. You're shuffling through some old cards and see a 1990 Donruss Sammy Sosa RC, for instance. Then a little later you see a 1990 Donruss Juan Gonzalez RC. And then even later you see a 1990 Donruss Baseball's Best Greg Vaughn. Suddenly you start to think to yourself, "How in the heck did Frank Thomas NOT get included in 1990 Donruss?!"
Forget about the specifics of why certain players were never included in certain sets...what are some of the cards you wish were issued but never were?
For me it's a lot of early 1990's rookie and insert cards. I wish I could've seen:
1991 Fleer Ultra Update Jim Thome
1991 Leaf Gold Rookies Jim Thome and Chipper Jones
1989 Upper Deck Curt Schilling and Robin Ventura
1984 Topps Traded Clemens and Puckett (since Fleer managed to included them in the '84 Update set)
1992 Fleer Rookie Sensations Mike Piazza
1954 and 1955 Bowman Warren Spahn
early 1990's Upper Deck Warren Spahn Heroes of Baseball insert set w/ auto (like the Reggie Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Hank Aaron sets, etc)
+ tons more
