Question for those who buy GU from Auction houses

In the past I have purchased cards/Autos and such from Heritage, Mears, etc......all were slabbed items. However, I found a GU item in the current Mears auction which ends this evening. Many of these items come with a "Mears" COA and not PSA/JSA, etc. The particular item is low cost and appears to be a GU item with evidence of use, obviously it is lacking a player letter to confirm use.

Thoughts? Concerns? Say F-it, spend <$100 and be happy?

What would the difference in price be if it was certified? If it'll only cost you around $100 like you said, and you're confident it's real I'd say give it a shot.

Concerns, I have none in regards to Mears COAs

Youre confident in it legitimacy, so go with your gut

I believe Mears is pretty reputable in the GU world.

Ya Mears isn't just an auction house, so it's different than when other sites post their own LOA. As for me, it is always about research. I will always spend a lot of time reviewing photos and such to make sure what I'm buying is legitimate.
