I'm looking to start collecting Ichiro rookie cards. Any thoughts or suggestions to what might be considered his premium rookie cards?

If you can't afford the highly sought after RC auto cards Krom listed I say go after one of his Bowman Chrome hand signed cards. These were done and authenticated via "51" when Mill Creek north of Seattle, Washington had him under contract before Leaf got him. The one I landed ran $300 and is his refractor as well as the Japanese variation:

I love those Bowmans, especially the Japanese one. Haven't seen these with an auto anywhere.

You can buy them directly from Mill Creek: Mill Creek Sports - Search Results for "ichiro"
Make sure to Sort By Price: High to Low then go to page 3 and you will see them mid way down from there. Luckily I live in driving distance from there and worked out a trade/cash deal. It still remains one of my favorite cards to this day
