Saw this over at Hobby Insider and figured it'd make for a great thread here. Doesn't have to be the most valuable, but just a card you've looked for forever or just a nice patch that caught your eye or the elusive base card for a set you finally finished. Also, it can be something you've purchased, traded for or pulled. Just has to be within the 2012 year.

Mine would have to be this, as I waited for the seller to drop the BIN/BO price and he accepted a price which I was more than comfortable paying:

Picked up two of these this year, but this one is in better shape. Wanted a nice Stras ever since I saw him pitch in college and was finally able to grab a few.

Mine would have to be one of these:
2009 Signature Stars Quad Autograph Mauer/Span/Kubel/Blackburn /35- My 2 PC players on only 1 of 2 cards containing both of their signatures
2009 Signature Stars Triple Autograph Mauer/Span/Perkins /25- Same reason as above!
2010 Topps Triple Threads Denard Span Sapphire Autograph Relic /10- Great looking set
2011 Bowman International Denard Span Cyan Printing Plate 1/1- First 1/1 other than a blank back in my collection

I'm going to post two - they're both from 100+ year old sets, so I'm going to take a little latitude.

T206 Bill Dahlen and T205 Irvin Wilhelm - both cards completed their respective Brooklyn Superbas team sets.

For my whole collection it'd be this one:

1997 Playoff Zone Gold 2/5 Trent Dilfer. Really really excited I found that one, thought I'd never see it for sale.

For baseball I think it's a tie between these two:
