2013 Sweet Hit Tracker Thread - Looks Great, Less Costly

When it comes to new products, the big hits that get most of the attention. Baseball cards are, if anything, a form of pop art and, I believe, should be appreciated for their aesthetics. This is the thread to do that. If you love a card's design, the photography, the technology, or simply think everything comes together to make a great looking card, post it here.

Here are some my selection today, and it comes from a product that is for the kids and those of us who like opening a pack that only costs a buck: 2013 Topps Opening Day

Opening Day Blue Border Parallels

In past years, Opening Day packs have contained light blue bordered parallel cards using the same printing found in the gold parallel cards that are annually part of the base Topps baseball set and are serial numbered to the product's year. Opening day switched the printing technique this year, and it's a huge improvement. The cards now use the same printing technology as the gold foil parallels Topps released in 2012 and the emerald foil cards Topps is releasing this year to parallel their base set. The blue border really pops and works incredibly well with this year's design. Here are some examples:
