Not much hype for this weekend's Hall of Ceremony in Cooperstown, and understandably so.
The writers failed to elect a player, so the ceremony will honor three Veterans Committee selections:
The late umpire Hank O’Day, Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert and 19th century catcher Deacon White.
Next year's ceremony will be star-studded, as the new HOFers will probably be Maddux, Glavine, Thomas, Biggio, Piazza and maybe Bagwell and Morris. Kent and Mussina are also on the ballot for the first time.
