Hopefully it's nothing serious. I wonder if Harper's maniacal play is getting him hurt.
ESPN -- Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is headed back to Washington, D.C., to undergo tests on his inflamed hip.
Harper felt severe pain during batting practice before Saturday's game.
Manager Davey Johnson said there is a chance the 20-year-old could be shut down for the remainder of the season.
Earlier this season, Harper missed 31 games with bursitis in his left knee.
Harper is hitting .273 with 19 home runs and 49 RBIs.
