I had to watch it a few times before I saw the ball actually go into the glove for the tag. The first 5-or-so times I watched it, I could swear Helton tagged Carpenter with just his glove. Not until I watched Helton's throwing hand did I see evidence of the ball exchange.

Nice play.

Bad stuff if you're Carp. And the first base coach.

Good for Helton.

Looks like Carpenter prob jammed some pebbles into the palm of his hand diving back, which is why he got distracted looking at his hand. Helton seemed to notice that and took immediate action. Quick thinking move!
