Juat saw this. Thoughts to his family, an incredible man and person that left enough of a mark on my mothers childhood that she named me after "Handy Andy". We met him several times and he was a genuine, gracious, and humble man
RIP, Andy. With Pafko's passing, there is now only one living man who has played for the Cubs in a World Series - Lennie Merullo. There is also only one living man who played against the Cubs in a World Series - Ed Mierkowicz of the Tigers.
Man, it's depressing being a Cubs fan.
Always thought his '49 Leaf was a sharp-looking card.
thats a shame but he did live a long life. I dont know how good of a life it was but he did get to play ball with some of the best players to hit the field and that to me means he had a GREAT life...
(my only card of his)
