He said he had some autographs... I wasnt expecting this. I know what Bagwell would bring, but I wanted your opinions regarding the following:

When he was a baby/toddler, his mom got these for him i guess as an investment, or just to collect. Most have the usual card shop COAs.

Honestly, I would tell your coworker about getting them authenticated. Without knowing if they are real they would be tough to move, and could make it a pain if your coworker does end up selling them

The Basketball triple is impressive if real.

The Mariano looks like his early signature. The Jeters look either bad or they could be rushed, not a Jeter expert (there are always alot of them on every board).

Very impressive, but as others said, they will need to be authenticated first.

I would probably do a quick opinion on a couple of them to get a feel for if it was worth putting more time and money towards them.

I don't know they all look off to me. The Jordan doesn't look terrible. All of them do appear to be from around the same time though and all of pretty big name guys. Id go more along the fake side.

Ok, good opinions thus far, but now lets say they were all authenticated. Now what do you put the value at?

and on a side note, how does he go about getting them authenticated?

Ugh, those are some bad forgeries.
The Juan Gonzalez is especially terrible (I used to collect him and have several in-person autographs).
The Jeters are bad. Really bad.
The Arods are iffy, but I'm not as knowledgable about his early signatures.

Before I even read the thread but after I looked at the pictures, I knew the majority of the posts would be about them being authentic, some look bad, pen looks similar, etc.

That said, I guess I'd echo what others have said. Going to be tough to move without authentication.

I will say, aren't most all autos like this done in black or blue sharpie? I mean is anyone surprised those are the two colors used?

If all authentic, the trio basketball is the best for sure.

I dont think its odd to be using black and blue sharpies. I mean, did they have the paint pens used today back in the 90s?

I'm not trying to move them, just wanted to get peoples opinions of the autos for him.

I'm no expert for any of these guys, but figured FCB would know. Now, as far as authenticating, how is that done for 8x10s? Does he mail them into PSA? LMK

I am somewhat familiar with the players who signed, but none of them look to be so off that I can say for sure they are fake. In fact, they all look close enough to warrant a expect opinion, in my opinion.

Start with Jordan. List the picture on eBay with a big BIN so you know it will not sell. Pay the $7 for the PSA/DNA Quick Opinion. If the MJ is real you go from there if it is fake the group may be in question. Many of these are not really worth authentication.
