Topps print run??

I want to ask the experts opinions on how many cards are made when topps has done the whole group a,b,c deal. I realize that it depends on product print run (like a base Topps group a may be more produced than other premium sets) but I'm trying to make some sense of the number of cards produced. Hope this makes sense. Thank you for the input.

A lot. I have no ideas but one of these math geniuses here can figure it out I'm sure using odds for certain inserts. In any case I know it's more than a lot of us would like.

Like for example 2001 Topps golden autos I have been working on. Willie Mays is 1:22866 packs. Did they make less than 50 of these?

Find a serial# card from that set, find out what the ratio was on that card and extrapolate (sp) backwards from there
