I've seen the TOPPS 5 Star Tracker Thread and thought... "man I'd like to bust this stuff, but at $400 a box I'd rather pick and choose my contents."

CONTEST--Use the $400 dollars (fictional) to build your own box that may include the following:

Every Pack may include
- 1 Base Card
- 2 Active or Retired Player Autographed Cards
- 1 Autographed Patch Card or 1 Autographed Card
- 1 Autographed Book Card or 1 Silver Signatures Autographed card
- 1 Jumbo Swatch, Patch, Batting Glove, MLBLogo, Bat Plate or Bat Knob Relic Card

3 cards = $400 to spend

Please provide active eBay links that shows the card and price. Please post a total for each card and your total spent. A nice little explanation for why you chose those cards might be nice as well.

I'll let this run until 12/20 and then randomize for a winner.

PRIZE
I'll randomize 5 different dollar amounts (5, 10, 15, 20, 25) and the amount that ends up on top after 5 clicks will be the amount in PayPal that I will send to the winner.

Get creative, have fun, and post some dream boxes.

So come up with 6 cards, but 3 of them have to be $400 total? I'm confused. Also, are we limited to 5 Star cards only? That would make sense, but not make up a "Dream Box" because some of the players I would want aren't in 5 star.

I'd want something like a Carlton Fisk GU Face Mask Card and an oversized box topper with the signatures of all members of the 2013 Redsox WS championship team on it (stickers would be ok

I'm a huge Yankee fan and I haven't seen a Mussina auto in a Yankee uni in a long time so I wanted to pick up the Mussina Auto. Next, Staying with the Yankees theme I picked Reggie Jackson because of the Yankees Uni and just the look of the card which I love. Next, I jumped away from the Yankees and picked up a Rickey Auto as well as a Ripken Book Auto. I love the book autos and I've never had a Cal auto. Rickey is a no brainer because his auto is very nice and clean and Five star uses on card autos.
Then I finished it up with the Yankee theme with the Jeter jumbo and the CC base mostly to get in under the limit but anything Jeter is a great piece IMO.

Lou Brock 1/1 Base card. As a player collector these are nice to land plus at the low buy in of $45 it leaves room for other bigger items.

All cards were picked for one reason... My kids. These are all players they collect and talk about a lot with me. They offer a nice select of different players at various stages in their careers (or former players in Ruth's case) which is something else that I like about the selections. I also like that I didn't have to use all $400 to get these and probably could have spent less if I searched a little harder for completed items.

Cool idea for a contest. I would do a Yankees box with three of my all-time favorites. Starting off with a Rivera base, unfortunately he doesn't have autos in this product and GU don't interest me. The O'Neill would be the auto I'd choose. Simple card, with a bold blue auto. Features a picture which depicts his intensity for the game, hustling every play. Plus, these have been going really cheap, leaving me room for my final card....the Don Mattingly inscription 1/1 auto. I've always wanted a Mattingly, I've never picked one up all these years of collecting although they are relatively affordable nowadays. Plus this one has a nice inscription which I've always wanted as well. The total would come close to $400 making a killer Yankee box.
