OPINION POLL: Is this the BEST time to sell Derek Jeter cards?

What do you guys think? Is this the BEST time to list Derek Jeter cards on the bay? or At the end of the season when Jeter makes his farewell speech / the Yankees potentially make the playoffs and chases his 6th ring? or After he retires and resurfaces in the news when he is inducted into the hall of fame?

Jeter cards will always sell well regardless of his retirement announcement and his eventual induction into the Hall of Fame.

You may want to move them now though before the after-retirement scandals start:

Best time was probably when he hit his 3000th. Other time would be HOF induction time, which is what, 2019 ?

I'd say after he goes first ballot with 95%+ of the votes would be the best time to sell.

I think the best time to sell (if you are going to be selling in 2014) will be Jeter's final regular season Yankee Stadium home game. His retirement announcement got a mention on the national newscasts, but when he actually gets to the end of the season, these same national newscasts won't be just giving it a 15 second anchor-delievered mention but will send their national correspondents to the Bronx to file 2-minute stories about his carrer and highlights of his retirement goodbye game with reports over several days, so you increase the pool of potential ebay bidders due to Jeter being more front-and-center to the casual fan.
