I was searching blue refractors and came across this listing. When I first saw it card appeared to be the reprint rookie sapphire that Topps is inserting into their products now, but seller is listing card as his true rookie blue refractor autograph.Card appears to me to have the fake signature black stamp like all the other reprints Topps made.Seller trying to dupe potential buyers, or just simply mistook the card for something else?

check this thread out ... great minds think alike!

Did not see that, so this has been going on for awhile now.

Upon further investigation, the easiest way to tell the autograph from the reprint on the Braun is the Topps Certified Autograph stamping on the front of the card located right above the signature.Starting in '01 through '07, that Topps Certified Autograph icon was prominent on all Bowman Chrome autographs, but slowly over time they did away with that. Now, you don't even see any print on the card that identifies the card is even signed.

So if you are educated about the cards you know what to look for and can spot the fakes.
