DENVER -- Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado arrived loudly Monday night, blasting a two-run homer in the second inning off Rangers starter Martin Perez to run his hit streak to 25 games in the Rockies' 8-2 win against the Rangers.
Arenado's streak is two games fewer than the club record of 27 games, set last year by Michael Cuddyer.
Arenado is now hitting .353 (35-for-99) with four home runs, eight doubles, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored during his streak.
The homer gave the Rockies a 2-0 lead.

He booted a routine grounder yesterday but that HR was ridiculous. If he had missed the ball it would've hit him in the knee

He's part of the reason one of my fantasy teams is in first place. Hope he keeps it up!

On a related Blue Jays note: with a single, double, and walk tonight, Jose Bautista has reached base in every game this season.
