Panini question

I just got a 2013 Panini America's Pastime /125 Jim Thome card. It's a nice card but there is no Indians emblem/name on the jersey or helmet. It does say Cleveland at the bottom front of the card, but not Indians. It looks like a White Sox jersey. Is this because Panini doesn't have a MLB contract?

That is exactly why there are no logos or team names. They only have the MLBPA license and not the MLB license. Topps has an exclusive license with MLB, so no one else can get it until Topps license expires. At the rate things are going, that will be sometime in 2059.
