Have fun. It may get a little slower this month, but I expect to see more retired players and possibly some football from everyone this month.

A quick sort of OT question.. I haven't sent anything in to get signed since being 10 years old and would like too again.. Does everyone still just send their items in to the players respected teams? I've heard of some sort of book you can buy with players addresses, do you guys use that rather than team addresses?

I normally only send to current players during the season through their team, and retired players at their home. There are a few current players who sign at home during the off season.

More '57's today...

Roy Sievers - 2/1 in 9 days c/o home [Harvey 08]. Signed a 1957 Topps and my notecard. He was Rookie of the Year in 1949. In 1957, he hit a home run in six consecutive games to tie the American League record at the time.

Stan Lopata - 2/1 in 13 days c/o home [Harvey 08]. Signed a 1957 Topps and my notecard. Mr. Lopata is credited with being the first catcher in the major leagues to wear glasses.

Hal R. Smith - 3/1 in not very long (I forgot to enter it in at SCN). Signed a 1957 Topps, my notecard and included a very nice note at the end of my letter to my son and me.

In case you haven't, look at Danny's TTM Help Desk post in the main TTM board, he has a lot of helpful links. My advice is to subscriber to Sports Collector's Net (SCN) for $15/year. That site probably saves me 3 to 4 times that amount in postage I would have wasted on players that don't sign.
