1991 M.V.P. Pins #9

1991 Major League Collectors Pins #11

These two are the same thing, so you can take one or the other off your list. Here are Beckett's set descriptions for each set:

1991 MVP Pins:
These pins were issued along with a 1991 Score baseball card and were designed for retail sale. The box calls this the "Major League Players Collector Pin series and a head shot of the player is on the pin against a diamond background. The back of the box gives the checklist for the set. These pins were produced by the Ace Novelty Co. We have followed the checklist on the back and listed the players in the team order but have made sure they are in alphabetical order within the team order.

1991 Major League Collectors Pins
These gold-colored metal pins were issued by Ace Novelty and measure 1 1/8" by 1 7/8" and feature a color player photo on the fronts. The player's 1990 statistics are given on the reverse of the pin. Each pin was sold in a cardboard display package that included a '91 Score baseball card of the same player. The cards are listed below according to the checklist on the back of the cardboard display.

The "MVP Pins" description actually contains the name of the other set listing to describe the redundant set. I've written to them repeatedly about merging the listings, but they just don't care.

How much do they not care? Here is the listing for the 1990 MVP Pins set:
These pins were issued along with a 1990 Score baseball card and were designed for retail sale. The box calls this the "Major League Players Collector Pin series and a head shot of the player is on the pin against a diamond background. The back of the box gives the checklist for the set and says this is the "first edition" of this product. These pins were produced by the Ace Novelty Co.

They literally changed the year and re-used the same description, adding the last line about mangling checklist for no good reason.

Thank you for that info or I would be searching for that forever haha. Crazy how they just don't seem to care about that information being brought to them.

Hi and welcome to the board.
You should just bump the thread you made about this last week instead of making a new one, especially since you got several replies from members wanting to help you.
Keeping your original thread updated is fine and a lot of player collectors do it, and it will remind members who posted in your thread to find the cards they say they might have for you.

Here's your old thread:

I still need a few Broder cards of Burks. Does anyone know how many of these were made and how many years/sets were produced?
