I recently bought a lot from RStadlerASU22 (thanks again Ryan!) that included 17 different John Olerud baseball simulation game cards from the 1990's and early 2000's. This one has me stumped as to exactly when it was produced. The copyright says "Dynasty Baseball League 1993", but the stats on the card are from his 1998 season. The back is blank.

Is anyone familiar enough with these types of gaming cards to shed some light?

Thanks!

I'm not, but I'll take stab. Obviously it can't be any older than 1998, if the stats are on there. 1993 is probably when the name or game was first copyrighted. I have a couple dozen various Garvey game cards and they can be tough to ID. A Mac collector had a site that did a great job (onion I think was in the name) and i presume that collector was buying games or lots at one point.

I thought u got my response . It's from the 1999 Dynasty Set , w 1998 Stats. The copyright just stayed the same. Don't worry about the copyright . Some other game cards I have have 1987 as the copyright for 4 years or so

Thanks Ryan. I didn't get a PM but thanks for the info. 1999 was my best guess since cards from at least 2002 onward are in colour.

What mrmopar mentioned is probably what happened with the copyright year, since the game started around 1993 as a succesor for Pursue the Pennant.

Yes, can't be 1993 because the game was stilled called "Pursue the Pennant" then and had colored cards.
