No relapse. Something serious came up in the last two days. He was on XM MLB a couple days ago. No indications that something was up. He was making commitments for next year so this is something out of the blue.

As a Rangers fan, that sucks. Sometimes he did make head-scratching decisions, but he took the Rangers to two World Series twice and he was very energetic and pumped up his players. It's a shame that half the team and most of the pitching staff were hurt this year.

If he had relapsed he would have taken time off not abruptly quit. Especially when he had a commitment for an MLB international tour.
