A decade or more seems to be the way it goes for me.

It took me until last month to obtain the last card for my 2001 Topps Heritage Chrome set, Magglio Ordonez. I had seen them back in the day but couldn't buy the whole set at once. For some reason, this one seemed to be a little tougher than others and rarely showed up on ebay. Sometimes people would break a set and sell like 90 or 100 out of the 110 cards, but the Ordonez was always missing. But last month 2 showed up at the same time, and I got one. The other is still sitting there at a reasonable BIN. I kind of want to pick that one up and start a second set. ::facepalm::

The one at the top of my Sizemore wantlist was an obscure 2008 card that I saw once then never again. Then in May, 3 copies showed up almost simultaneously. The first was from a member here, then 2 showed up on ebay. One is still sitting there being relisted over and over. My new #1 Sizemore card is the 2005 Cracker Jack Grey parallel #/25. Another case of being outbid on ebay back on release and never seeing another.

My current #1 want for probably my whole collection is a 2005 card (UD Origins Old Judge Gold #/20 Chris Burke) that I think I saw on ebay in early 2006 but was outbid. Didn't sweat it then, but now is just like my own personal Sasquatch. Or Moby Dick. I have all 285 other cards for the set, but this one is a problem. He was a decent prospect but never amounted to anything. I'm sure there's 1 or 2 gather dust in someone's old prospect/insert/Astros boxes, just waiting to be turned into gold.

No real story. 97 SPX Steel. Had to buy a lot with 9 other players steels at a cost of twenty bucks, but I got it.

What is your new most wanted card?

Wow. Thats a mighty fine question. Gotta be something 90s... Would probably be the 95 Pinnacle #450 Checklist Artist Proof, but I knocked it off last month.

So maybe along the same lines, the 95 Select Artists proof checklist.

Looks like this, but says Artist Proof on it

No wait... The 95 Collectors Choice Crash the Game Gold July 30. Thats it. Thats the new one. I have the silver, and the golds for the other dates. Just need this one.

This is my silver.
