Are the 2015 topps cards really flimsy?

I've only opened a few packs, but do the base cards seem really flimsy this year?

I think they're being scrutinized a little more this year because the design overhaul. Some hate the design but most seem to welcome the change from the basic white front of card.

I'm less bothered by the design than I am by the fact that it looks like they applied photoshop filters to the photo on every single base card. To me the thing that always made base cards enjoyable was the great photography. From the scans I've seen, the photos look terrible with the added effects.

Yeah, Ive noticed that too BBC. The stock seems to be much thinner than the past few years.
