I have never seen one of these before but it was sitting in a corner of a toy/comic/thrifty shop I started visiting in Tacoma.

Yes, I don't believe those really caught on. i want to say they were something like $20 each when new if i remember correctly. the market wasn't there for poster sized baseball cards. I have a couple of the frank thomas cards, as i was collecting him at the time. I think one or both might have been sample cards though.

My wife still can't believe I bought an alex Rodriguez card but I couldn't resist. It's just too cool and oversized. Plus it was still in the packaging.

Do you have a Thomas you would part with?

I love some of the oddball stuff. While it may have not caught on, now it is cool because everyone has the "regular" size cards and they are worthless. Not that the oddball stuff is but you don't see it everyday.
