Morning.
I mentioned last week that I had tickets to this past Saturday's Reds/Cubs game in Cincy and, wouldn't you know it, I picked what ended up being the 10th rainout in the history of Great American Ballpark (opened in 2003). We waited the entire delay in the rain until they finally called the game (4 hours and 13 minutes after the scheduled start time). Very pissed at the Reds for not calling the game hours earlier. There were a few positives:
-Nasty Boys triple bobblehead give-away (my dad, brother and me each received one).
-The entire 1990 W.S. championship team was present for a pregame ceremony and that was a lot of fun to watch.
-I picked up 3 discarded tickets on the ground during the delay and should be able to exchange each one for a ticket to a future game at the box office.
-I saw a $20 bill on the ground while walking around and dove on it before anyone else had a chance to pounce. I did look around for anyone that seemed to have lost it but no such luck. Bought a beer for my dad and brother with $3 left over.
