Morning.

I mentioned last week that I had tickets to this past Saturday's Reds/Cubs game in Cincy and, wouldn't you know it, I picked what ended up being the 10th rainout in the history of Great American Ballpark (opened in 2003). We waited the entire delay in the rain until they finally called the game (4 hours and 13 minutes after the scheduled start time). Very pissed at the Reds for not calling the game hours earlier. There were a few positives:
-Nasty Boys triple bobblehead give-away (my dad, brother and me each received one).
-The entire 1990 W.S. championship team was present for a pregame ceremony and that was a lot of fun to watch.
-I picked up 3 discarded tickets on the ground during the delay and should be able to exchange each one for a ticket to a future game at the box office.
-I saw a $20 bill on the ground while walking around and dove on it before anyone else had a chance to pounce. I did look around for anyone that seemed to have lost it but no such luck. Bought a beer for my dad and brother with $3 left over.

Posted this late last nite before anyone could jump in and Guess:

Got hooked into the last 45 minutes of "A Few Good Men", still rapturing, 30ish years later.

There is a baseball connection, a small one, but nonetheless, it's in there. Anybody remember it?

And it's not Rich Eisen quoting "You need me on that Wall" on great plays by OFers robbing batters of potential HRs...

Good morning everyone. A frustrating day on eBay last night.

I was the second highest bidder on this card and missing out on this card has me rethinking the way I collect

These went for way more than I thought they would

I did however have one success. This card was originally listed $199 BIN or BO, I sent a $50 offer that was declined with no counter offer. I then sent a $75 offer which was declined with no counter offer. I then sent a $100 offer which was countered at $160 which I didn't accept. The card was then relisted at auction and I won it for $65!

That's a bold statement.

I overbid what I thought would be good enough last night on 3 auctions, but I was wrong. Two Manning un-authenticated signed RC's and a hole card. Previously paid $16.27 and $40.00 for the same hole card, but this one went for $50.96. Crazy.

Morning All!
Hawk8 ,would also like to hear your thoughts about why you're re-thinking the way you collect. With what we've all seen you post just in the morning threads, I think you're in too deep to slow down or stop now!

Seeing her friend Sally wearing a new locket, Meg asks if there is a memento of some sort inside.
“Yes,” says Sally, “a lock of my husband’s hair.”
“But Larry’s still alive.”
“I know, but his hair is gone.”

Sounds like a good time despite the rain out

Good morning all!
Desert Shield are my favorites out of those, Dustin.

Thanks, I love the Desert Shields also. Here is one of my favorite cards in my collection and I received it the MTSS two years ago.

I had several other smaller snipes that I missed also but I was expecting to miss them as I had my attention on that tag. Crazy how some cards prices fluctuate like that, I have seen some Dawson cards do the same thing.
