Not many strikeouts, but still a very solid outing for Matz. Surprised he only had 79 pitches, though.


Finally....some flashes of power. He's having a great season though especially given his age.

.341 BA so far as an 18 year old at A ball-- couldn't ask for much more. If he matched his output for a full season he'd have 52 doubles, 4 triples, and 12 homers, 88 RBI.

As you know, those doubles could translate in large part to homers as he matures. :)

He's also improved somewhat defensively from last year.

Yeah it's going to be fun watching him develop over the next few years, he is a keeper for sure. Not sure he is going to stick at 3rd though, but his bat will play well at 1B.
