My 2011 Bowman Sterling Blake Snell autograph is due to arrive....4 years (almost) after release.

Is this even legal?

Nevertheless, not a bad time to be getting Snell autos from Topps!

Also, FYI, Javier Baez RC autos are now being sent out from 2015 Bowman. Looks like my RC ref auto /499 should arrive tomorrow. One has already hit ebay.

For all you Snell fans with redemption autos redeemed back in 2011-- keep your eye on the mail!

Four years?!
So who is more to blame? Snell for procrastinating or not signing for some reason? Or Topps for not sitting down with Snell for a couple of hours and telling him to sign the damn cards?
Either way, there's no excuse unless Snell was in a four-year coma.

Or topps for inserting Snell redemptions without a contract in place and hoping one will eventually be signed. (don't know for sure that happened in this case, but it's happened in the past with topps and other signers).

Too bad you can't get the NY AG to force topps to post on their website PDFs of athlete auto contracts when those athletes are redemptions in their products... with the only thing being redacted is the quantity and dollar amounts since that is understandably business confidential info.

The main point is Topps should prove when they insert a redemption into a product that they have a contract in place for those autos rather than inserting redemptions and hoping a contract will happen later.
