All that hype for Joey Gallo was shortlived. After a dazzling start, he ended his 25 games with the Rangers in a 7-for-47 slump averaging more than 2 Ks a game, finishing with a .218 average and 5 homers.
He struckout 43% of the time. He really needs to work on that uppercut in his swing. When he connects, the homers are monsters. When he doesn't, he looks terrible.
Most Rangers fans thought and hoped the Rangers would find room for Gallo, even with Beltre and Hamilton back from the DL. Maybe he'll be back in September.
