4:30 I start watching clock UGH. four days till I get a weekend without stadium set up . another kids day 6/8 and will discount a lot of packs to keep from hauling them .
now to get pool ready for swimming lessons . I have two working on scout badges , nine year old never had lessons and scared of water and a five year old with fear of water = I 'll earn every $$

Morning all!
Been a loooooong weekend at the ballpark. 7 games in 3 days for my 10yr old. Never again! Too much on him and too much on the old man! We went 3 for 7 and I believe fatigue was why we lost 2 of the four we didnt win. The other two games we lost, the other teams were way better than we was.
Went to a Memorial Day parade yesterday, was noticeably smaller in scale than in years past. Various VFW and American Legions from around the county didnt have color guards in the parade. Found out that several of the VFW and American Legions dont have them anymore due to membership declines. Basically, all the WWII (whats left) and Korean war vets can no longer physically do the parades or are dying at a fast rate. Vietnam vets are still boycotting the organizations. The Gulf war vets have ideology issues with them. The Iraq war vets see them as old man groups. The grim reality is, these Veterans organizations are pretty much defunct.
