However, this post isn't about that sitcom. It's all about a collection I started several years ago. I've always had a collection of rookie cards but decided to replace my "raw" RC collection with one encased in PSA slabs. When I first created my want list I assigned a PSA grade I thought I could attain to each and every card. It just so happened that every 1970s card had a PSA 9 next to it. For the last two years my 70's collection was only lacking one card: The 1971 Topps Bert Blyleven PSA 9. After passing on several copies over the last several years in the $3k neighborhood, that card has reached heights I can't reach so I decided to "settle" on an 8.5. I'm still working on every other decade of Hall of Fame rookie cards but my 1970's list has been completed. Enjoy

1975 Topps Mini George Brett PSA 9 population 139 (7 graded higher). I picked this up because the '75 Topps set is one of my all-time favorites so the mini had to be good too (and George Brett was awesome).

1975 O-Pee-Chee George Brett PSA 9 population 19 (3 graded higher). After I picked up the regular Topps and the Topps Mini I had to have this one.

Jackpot on that Ozzie Smith. I just gave in and have a couple of OC versions. Very nice Brett's by the way!

Love your collection!

Thanks guys. I do love the collection but favor the Bretts and I also really like the tough 71 Blyleven since it was the final piece. Now on to completing the 60s or 80s.

Such beautiful, museum caliber specimens. Glad for you that you did some of the buying before the recent vintage price explosion. A great accomplishment and a nice investment! Now between 60s and 80s, 60s would be sweet but can get price prohibitive in high grade! Some crazy things going on there.
