Saw the same thing happen with a 16 player book from this years National Treasures. No players listed sold for $116 (I didn't see it and I search Mariano Rivera and other versions of his name 50 times a day). Next one with names listed sold for $268. I lost that one but picked up another for $200 on a best offer.

Most likely, the 99 cent auction was ended early in favor of an offline sale. Can't tell on iPad app, though. But that was an actual auction where the $109 sale was a BIN.

Was my thought too. Sometimes the ended "sold" price isn't accurate. The auction could have had .99 bids but listing was pulled. Not to say it's 100% the case, but sometimes what ur seeing isn't reality.

Did one offer international shipping? That cars could be huge to a collector over in Asia, whereas here we just see a bunch of scrub autographs.
