the Pens wrap up 8 game home stand

the Penguins wrapped up their 8 game homestand with a 6-1 win over the Devils last night. they now go on the road for 3 and come home for the final home regular season game on April 9th (I'll be there

) and then head to Montreal to wrap up the regular season. the Pens recorded 13 of a possible 16 points during their home stand and have moved into a tie with the Flyers for 4th in the East. however it is still a possibility that they can win their division or miss the playoffs all together :evil: .

they must have one of the best records in the second half...Since Gonchar got back it seems they have been on fire...they are hot at the right time..them vs Caps would be a great East Final

every thing seemed to turn around right as Gonchar came back and Therrien was fired. the players have said they are having more fun and they are excited to come to the rink everyday. also the Guerin, Kunitz and Adams pickups have helped solidify all 4 lines.

getting Gonch back would probably be the number one reason for the turn around. he brings that veteran leadership to the defense that they needed to help them play great as a unit and also brings great leadership to the whole locker room and the ice.
