First 15 of 100 IPO's are on thepit. They are buying some cards at very good prices (trying to create stock). They are savings most of the autographs for the weekend. I highlighted a few that I think are pretty good sells/buys. I'll use the thread to update them for the next 4-5 days. I'm not going to post a link (not sure of the TOS rules about it)

This week look for nearly 100 new rookies to be added including S.Strasburg, R.Porcello, Lars Anderson, Buster Posey & much much more! New Groups of IPO's will be added each following days on Fri. 4/3 (5pm PST), Sat. 4/4 (3pm) & Sun 4/5 (3pm PST).

Hoping they add some more 06/07 draft and some 08 draft which i dont believe they have added at all yet. It makes it much easier for me to move the singles I have from my cases.

I'm sure they will. I think about 75% of the IPO's will be chrome.

I'm sure they will. I think about 75% of the IPO's will be chrome.

The difference is whether they are mostly bowman chrome or chrome draft, at least for me anyways. I have a ton of chrome draft, and no regular bowman chrome, lol.

Like the addition of these. It makes me able to just send the cards in and have them watch the market for me, lol. These would be sitting in boxes if they were not on thepit.

It means Initial Public Offering, and originates from the stock world when a company first offers their shares for sale.

Thepit is a great source for loading up on your favorite prospects. You just have to have patience. I'm really glad they are adding more prospect autographs to the site.

Some really good IPO's today. They are paying some premium prices for some of these right now. Thepit has done a great job getting some of up and coming prospects on the site. A few more "sleepers" and they will be good to go.

So is this more like Checkoutmycards or sportslots? Do you send your stuff in for them to hold until a sale? Also how do payments work?

You can sell cards you have at your house or sell cards out of your portfolio. It's real simple. Checkout the "training video". You can pay with a credit card, paypal, or even send in a money order to fund your account.

If anyone has any questions let me know. Thepit can be a lot of fun and a source to make some extra cash. Last year I made a little over $4,000 in profit during the '08 MLB season.
