Happy Birthday to Red Sox HOFer, Bobby Doerr!!!

Happy Birthday to him, the oldest living HOFer. Today is his 91st birthday. He resides in Oregon and loves to fish. My uncle actually had the pleasure of meeting Doerr and fishing with him for the day.

So as you guys may know, Doerr is my alltime favorite player. Not only was he a great hitter and a fantastic fielder....but he is an even better guy. I would recommend you guys to read my two favorite books with Doerr in them....Summer of 49 and The Teammates. Fantastic reads.

Ohh the 1939 Play Ball is my favorite also!!

At one time I had 4 Bobby Doerr 1939 Play Balls graded EX-MT [2 PSA 6, 1 *** 6, and 1 SGC 80/6....the two PSA 6's are gone to fellow Doerr collectors]

Thanks Mike! The Heads Up set is one of my favorites also, such an awesome card. I still need the other Doerr from that set [without the black cartoons on the front]
