Seems like the starters give up a few runs early, the hitters will get it close, and then the bullpen immediately blows it...I'm having deja vu every game I watch.

I'm with Nolan Ryan on this. Screw bullpens. I swear almost every last game is either won or lost on the bullpen. The starter can be pitching a 2 hitter and get taken out because he's thrown 100 pitches. There's still no strong evidence it matters in the long run. If nothing else. Bring a RP in and if he's pitching well let him finish. All this stupid specialist stuff is over the top. Pitching to one guy, and then bringing in the next pitcher, who then blows the game. Some days guys just don't have their stuff that night, why burn through the bullpen until you find him? It seems like it's getting worse by the day for every team. I don't get it.
