OK, here's the situation.
Sold a card to Canada. (I know, I know..)
It was Express, tracked, insured.
It got there (and quickly, too), but it was damaged.
The buyer is cool about it.
I call USPS to open a claim. File all information. We're good to this point.
I email buyer, tell him that he needs to take card, and all original packaging to Canada Post to verify the claim on his end.
He has thrown out bubble mailer, Express packaging, all of it.
Here's my question. I've done my part, right? So if Canada Post rejects the claim because he threw out the packaging, does the burden still fall back on me?
I'm pretty much assuming that I'll get screwed and be out $150, but I'm just wondering.
