My 2009 Christmas Packs Project

Hello everyone,

After a couple year hiatus, I have decided to re-start my Christmas Packs project. I started this in 2004 as a way to reward myself. I was tired of my family not knowing, or being unwilling to give me cards on Christmas. So, I would save packs throughout the year and open them on Christmas day as a present to myself This project takes a lot of will-power to not cave in and open the packs. I have always found the most enjoyment in saving these packs and looking at them throughout the year, imagining what could be inside. My toddlers like going through the packs with me as well. When I get to opening these on December 25, 2009, it will almost be irrelevant what I get inside.

I post this because perhaps some board members might want to give this a shot? Fortunately, I have a great relationship with a card shop where they sell me certain hobby packs at 50-75% off! Here is my update for this point with 6 months to go!

I remember reading about this project of yours back on the BMB and gave it a shot myself...unfortunately after a couple months my will power gave out when I had just got my entire card room cleaned and sorted and told myself it would be much more beneficial for me to open and sort those cards now instead of waiting until after Christmas ::facepalm::

You can always try again?! Perhaps you can pick an arbitrary date on your own like your birthday, July 4th, World Series, anything!
