Antonelli treats every at-bat as if he has 2 strikes.. not sure if he's afraid to strike out or what.. he's always going to have exceptional BB/K rates, but he's a black hole in the line up

Antonelli was taken by the San Diego Padres in the first round of the 2006 MLB Draft, 17th overall. He received a signing bonus worth $1.575 million plus money to complete his education.

When the Portland Beavers were here in Vegas to play the 51's last month, I was shocked to learn that he was batting around 0.125 at that time. I commented to my son how he was such a highly touted prospect when he first was drafted. I also wondered why he was still playing at the AAA level when he clearly should have been demoted to a lower level.sneekc said:

Anytime he hits it in play it is to another fielder.
Truthfully, he was never going to be good.
Exciting to watch the fans boo him.
